AustralianFootball.com Celebrating the history of the great Australian game
In 1988 Claremont was one of four inaugural members of the Western Australian Women's Football League and it is perhaps somewhat surprising that the club has yet to claim a senior grade premiership. The reserves have been successful on a couple of occasions, however. Recent seasons have produced mixed fortunes: a winless wooden spoon in 2016, for example, contrasting with finals qualification for an eventual fourth place finish a year later. Known for many years as the Piranhas the club altered its nickname to Tigers in 2017 as a way of affirming the establishment of stronger links with the Claremont men's team.
